The Woodhouse Wine Estates in Woodinville is seeking energetic, friendly & customer focused team members! We are adding a Tasting Room Lead role who is available Friday – Sunday, with potential for additional weekday needs.

The tasting room lead position is best suited for a hard-working, service-oriented individual looking to provide an elevated tasting experience for our guests.


 

Job Requirements:

  • Previous tasting room experience preferred
  • Previous sales and customer service experience in the hospitality industry preferred
  • Professional and social personality with excellent customer service focus
  • Regular weekend shifts required.
  • Strong general wine knowledge and familiarity of the Washington wine industry preferred
  • Ability to problem solve in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to work equally well in an individual and team environment
  • Positive attitude in customer interactions and with co-workers
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Proficient computer skills. Past experience working with WineDirect preferred, but not required
  • Ability to coach others in a non-manager capacity
  • Able to implement and coach staff to tasting room policies

 

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Effectively promote and sell wine and wine club memberships to guests
  • Work closely with manager to lead and coach tasting room staff
  • Support and promote all company policies and procedures
  • Represent the company and brands enthusiastically and in professional manner
  • Ensure all daily tasting room tasks are fully completed, including cleaning, stocking, setting the room for the next day’s business, monitoring inventory, food prep as indicated
  • Assist the winery with events, off-site pours and other related activities as needed
  • Maintain all club member and customer data with accuracy and integrity
  • Assist with marketing campaigns, promotions, and wine club related tasks as needed
  • Assist the manager in organizing, planning and implementing strategy in the tasting room
  • Assist in training and providing feedback to tasting room associates and hosts
  • Take weekly inventory of stock and food in the winery

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Valid Washington State MAST Class 12 Permit and Food Handlers Permit required
